Outline

The Honourable Jack Beale Scholarship in Engineering aims to support students undertaking an Honours year at UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering who demonstrate an interest in water resources and the environment.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen; and
  • Be currently enrolled in full-time undergraduate study in a Bachelor of Civil or Environmental Engineering (single or dual) degree
  • Be undertaking an Honours year

Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activites, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of water resources and the environment within the UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering
