The Sam Cracknell Memorial Sports Scholarship is for current students who are involved with, and have contributed greatly to a nominated UNSW Sports Club, both on the field and in an administrative capacity.



Application Process

High School Leavers
In order to be potentially considered for this scholarship, High School Leavers apply via the advertisement for the Ben Lexcen Sports Scholarship (For future UNSW students) UGCE2043 by 30 September 2017

Current UNSW Students
In order to be potentially considered for this scholarship, Current Students should apply via the advertisement for the Elite Athlete and Sports Scholarships for Current Students UGCE1430 by 30 November 2017

Eligibility
Applicants must be:
  • Full-time undergraduates entering their third or higher year of a single or combined degree program at UNSW.
Selection
Selection is based on:
  • The extent to which applicants have participated in the sporting program of UNSW both on the field and in an administrative capacity.

Consideration may also be given to:

  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
  • Demonstrated ability and leadership qualities
  • potential to contribute to the wider life of the University; and
  • circumstances which might otherwise hinder a successful transition to UNSW.

Interviews
Interviews are not required for this Scholarship.
