Outline

UNSW offers a wide range of Scholarships and Awards to support International undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies. Students wishing to undertake postgraduate research study should contact the Graduate Research School.

*This application is for International students commencing their first term of studies at UNSW in Term 1 2022*

By applying for the Term 1, 2022 UNSW International Scholarships Application you may be considered for the following scholarships. More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility
International Scientia Coursework Scholarship (PUCA1025)

Offer 1: Full tuition fee scholarships paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program.

Offer 2: $20,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

  • Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework degree program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra)
UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023)

$15,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year

  • Must have an undergraduate or masters articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution; or completed the UNSW Foundation Studies Commerce or Commerce Actuarial stream prior to commencing study at UNSW
  • UNSW Business School undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM)
UNSW Business School International Scholarship (PUCA1024)

$5,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

  • UNSW Business School undergraduate or postgraduate coursework (single/dual) degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM)
UNSW Law & Justice International Award (PUCA1028)

$10,000 for 1 year

  • UNSW Law undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program (LLB, JD or LLM programs)
Dr Vincent Lo Asia Undergraduate Scholarships (UGCA1606)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program (up to 5 years)

  • Be an International Student from Asia
  • Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate coursework degree program (excluding UNSW Canberra)
UNSW Hong Kong Alumni Scholarship (UGCA1603)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program

  • Be an International Student, residing in Hong Kong at the time of application
  • Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate coursework degree program (excluding UNSW Canberra)

Additional Eligibility Criteria

Must have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 1 2022 by Tuesday, 30th November 2021

*Offers of admission must be one of the following:

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 1 2022.

*UAC International applicants expecting an offer after ATAR release may still apply.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Outline your reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW

You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted.

UNSW reserves the right not to award a scholarship where there is no applicant of sufficient merit, or if the applicant does not meet the scholarship eligibility and/or selection criteria.


Other International Scholarship Opportunities

International Student Award

The International Student Award is available to eligible new students commencing in Term 1 2022 and provides a 15% contribution towards tuition fees for the duration of program.

Students will be automatically considered for this Award when applying for admission to UNSW, and if eligible, will be invited to submit a brief statement about their motivation to study at UNSW.

Australia's Global University Award (PUCA1026)

Offer 1: $5,000 for 1 year.

Offer 2: $10,000 for 1 year.

Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study

  • Be an International student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 1, 2022.
UNSW Global Academic Award (PUCA1027)

Offer 1: $5,000 for 1 year.

Offer 2: $10,000 for 1 year.

Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study

  • Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore)
  • Be an International student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 1, 2022.
Future of Change Scholarship (UGCE1283)

$10,000 pa paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

  • Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia
  • Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and
  • Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 1, 2022.
Future of Change Scholarship Schools Bursary (UGCA1594)

$10,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

  • Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia
  • Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and
  • Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra) in Term 1, 2022.
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Global Academic Scholarship (UGCA1820)

$5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

  • Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore).
  • Be an International student commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 1, 2022.
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture International Articulation Scholarship (UGCA1819)

$5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

  • Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from an approved Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture partner institution.
  • Be an International student commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate coursework degree program offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture in Term 1, 2022.
UNSW Articulation Scholarships

$5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

  • Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution.
  • Be an International student commencing full-time study in a UNSW Undergraduate coursework program offered by UNSW Engineering in Term 1, 2022.

Selection
