Outline
The purpose of the Award is to support students majoring in Japanese Studies to undertake an exchange program in Japan.
Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in a UNSW eligible program;
  • Must have achieved a minimum credit average;
  • Be Planning to undertake an International Exchange program to Japan; and
  • Must demonstrate at least one educational disadvantage through an application to the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) Equity Scholarship Scheme.
Selection

Candidates will be considered on the basis of their UAC Equity online application.Each applicant must be experiencing low socio economic circumstances and will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:

  • Financial Hardship
  • Carer Responsibilities
  • English language difficulty
  • Sole Parent Responsibilities
  • Indigenous Australian
  • Long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse
  • Refugee status
  • Regional or remote disadvantage

    Applicants must submit a UAC Undergraduate Equity Scholarship application by Wednesday 13 December 2017

    Successful applicants will be notified of their outcome during the UAC Equity Scholarship Offer Rounds.

Interviews
Shortlisted applicants are not required to attend an interview.
