UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 1, 2022

UNSW offers a wide range of Scholarships and Awards to assist International undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students to undertake full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies. Students wishing to undertake postgraduate research study should contact the Graduate Research School.

 

HOW TO APPLY: 

The majority of scholarships will be offered based on your UNSW Scholarships Application for International Students Commencing Term 1, 2022. Please ensure you allow enough time to submit your application as we are unable to accept late applications.

Some scholarships will also be awarded on a competitive basis via your application for admission. In order to be considered for these scholarships you will need to receive an eligible offer of admission to UNSW.

International Scientia Coursework Scholarship (PUCA1025)

Value

  • Offer 1: Full tuition fee scholarships paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program
  • Offer 2: $20,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

Recipients of the Scholarship may also be offered the following:

  • Guaranteed ‘fast-track’ application and interview for on-campus accommodation at a UNSW Kensington College
  • Invitation to UNSW networking events
  • Guaranteed entry to the UNSW Professional Development Program
  • Ceremony to award the scholarship

Application Process:

Submit a UNSW Scholarships Application for International Students Commencing Term 1, 2022 by 11.59PM AEST Tuesday, 30th November 2021.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an International Student
  • Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding PG online and UNSW Canberra)
  • Must have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 1 2022 by Tuesday, 30th November 2021  * Offers of admission must be one of the following:
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 1 2022.

Selection Criteria

Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate:

  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW
Australia’s Global University Award (PUCA1026)

Value

  • Offer 1: $5,000 for 1 year
  • Offer 2: $10,000 for 1 year

Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study

Recipients of the Scholarship may also be offered the following:

  • Invitation to UNSW networking events
  • Invitation to attend the Award Ceremony

There is no application required for this scholarship.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an International Student

UNSW Global Academic Award (PUCA1027)

The UNSW Global Academic Award has been established to support high-achieving UNSW Global students to take undergraduate study at UNSW.

UNSW Global offers a range of academic and English language pathway programs to international students who have just missed out on direct entry into university

Students who successfully complete a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program and intend on progressing to a UNSW bachelor’s degree are eligible for the UNSW Global Academic Award.

Value

  • Offer 1: $5,000 for 1 year
  • Offer 2: $10,000 for 1 year

Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student's second term of the first year of study

Students completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program will automatically be considered for this Award

  • Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore)
  • Be commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW Undergraduate program (excluding UNSW Canberra)
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 1 2022  
    * Offers of admission must be one of the following:
    • Undergraduate Offer (unconditional)

* Eligible pathway programs include UNSW Global Foundation Program.


Selection Criteria

UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Global Academic Scholarship (UGCA1820)

The UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Global Academic Scholarship has been established to encourage the highest performing UNSW Global students to continue their study with the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at UNSW.

UNSW Global offers a range of academic and English language pathway programs to international students who have just missed out on direct entry into university

Students who successfully complete a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program and intend to progress to a UNSW bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture are eligible for this Award.

Value

$5,000 pa paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

There is no application required for this scholarship.

Students completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program will automatically be considered for this Award

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an International Student
  • Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore)
  • Be commencing full-time study in an undergraduate program (excluding UNSW Canberra)
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 1 2022

The UNSW Law & Justice International Award has been established to encourage high quality internationa students to join UNSW Law programs (LLB, JD or LLM)

$10,000 paid as a stipend for 1 year

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an International Student
  • Be commencing in any UNSW Law & Justice undergraduate/postgraduate coursework degree program (LLB, JD or LLM programs)
  • Must have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 1 2021 by Tuesday 30 November 2021* Offers of admission must be one of the following:
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 1 2022.

Value:

$5,000 per annum paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be International (Not a permanent resident of Australia/Australian Citizen)
  • Any UNSW undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School, excluding those offered by AGSM.
  • Must have received an offer of admission* by Tuesday 30 November 2021 and be commencing an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School.
  • Undergraduate applicants must have completed an assessable Senior Secondary School qualification immediately prior to commencing study at UNSW and not have undertaken prior tertiary study.
  • Not be in receipt of the UNSW Business School International Pathways Award.
  • Must be commencing full-time studies in Term 1, 2022

*Offers of admission must be one of the following:

Value:

$15,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year

Submit a UNSW Scholarships Application for International Students Commencing Term 1, 2022 by 11.59PM AEST Tuesday 30 November 2022.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an International Student
  • Have undertaken:
    • An undergraduate or postgraduate (Master) coursework articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution; or
    • Completed the UNSW Foundation Studies Commerce or Commerce Actuarial stream prior to commencing study at UNSW; and
    • Have achieved academic excellence in the relevant program of study at the pathway partner institution or in the eligible UNSW Foundation Studies Stream; and
  • Not have previously undertaken any other tertiary studies prior to commencing study at UNSW (undergraduate applicants); and
  • Must have received an offer of admission and be commencing in any UNSW undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School by Tuesday 30 November 2022 (excluding any program offered by AGSM in Term 3, 2021). This must include one of the following:
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
    • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing studies.

$10,000 pa paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program

There is no application required for this scholarship.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia; and
  • Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program
    • Open to students commencing their studies at UNSW in Term 1, 2022
    • This scholarship cannot be deferred.
    • Offers of admission must be one of the following: Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional); or Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 1 2022.

  • Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia; and
  • Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW for undergraduate applicants. Postgraduate applicants may have prior residence in Australia; and
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program
    • Open to students commencing their studies at UNSW in Term 1, 2022
    • This scholarship cannot be deferred.
