The UNSW Nuclear Engineering Awards have been established with the aim to encourage and assist students commencing studies in the field of Nuclear Engineering at UNSW.

Scholarship Value and Duration Program Eligibility
The UNSW Nuclear Innovation Centre Tyree Foundation Graduate Diploma Award (PGCA1110)

$6,000 for one year


  • Be commencing full-time postgraduate coursework study in Nuclear Engineering specialisation Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science Program 5373 in the academic plan ENGGGS.
The UNSW Nuclear Innovation Centre Tyree Foundation Graduate Certificate Award (PGCA1111)

$5,000 for one year


  • Be commencing full-time postgraduate coursework study in Nuclear Engineering specialisation Graduate Certificate in Engineering Science Program 7373 in the academic plan ENGGHS.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

  • Academic Merit

*Note: Department of Defence sponsored students are not eligible for the award.


UNSW reserves the right not to award a scholarship, where there is no applicant of sufficient merit, or if the applicant does not meet the scholarship eligibility and/or selection criteria.
