Outline

The purpose of the Award is to encourage UNSW current undergraduate students to pursue studies in Nuclear Engineering Honours year.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility Criteria
Nuclear Engineering Undergraduate Award (UGCA1661)

$5,000 for a year

  • The recipient must be undertaking full-time undergraduate study in one of the following:
    • Nuclear Engineering (Minor) (ENGGF23707); or
    • Enrolled in the AtomCraft VIP course (one of following: ENGG2600, ENGG3600, ENGG4600)

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic Merit
  • High performing scores within Nuclear Engineering (Minor) or AtomCraft VIP Course with a minimum overall WAM of 80
  • Aptitude and commitment to studying Nuclear Engineering

You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted. Activities/Achievements recorded more than 3 years ago will not be considered in your application assessment.

Applications close 11:59PM AEST, 1 May 2026. Please keep in mind that technical support is only available during business hours (until 5pm on Friday). The Scholarships Office encourages applicants to submit their applications in advance of the closing time where possible.
