Outline

The Indigenous General Merit Scholarships for Postgraduate Students Commencing Term 1, 2025 aims to encourage and assist Indigenous Australian students to undertake study at UNSW.

You must submit an application to be considered for the following scholarships.
More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility
Emeritus Professor Richard Henry AM & Dr Rachel Oberon Indigenous Advantage MBA (Social Impact) Scholarship (PGCE1013)

$60,000 towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • The recipient must be commencing or continuing postgraduate study in either an AGSM MBA Full-time, AGSM MBA (Executive), AGSM MBAX or AGSM Master of Management.

    *Preference will be given to the MBAx (Social Impact) program

AGSM Indigenous Leaders Scholarship (PGCE1025)

50% tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • The recipient must be commencing or continuing postgraduate study in either an AGSM MBA Full-time, AGSM MBA (Executive), AGSM MBAX or AGSM Master of Management.
UNSW Indigenous Postgraduate Business Scholarship (PGCE1015)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program

  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing postgraduate coursework studies in any degree program offered by UNSW Business School. Students commencing an AGSM MBA program are permitted.
Emeritus Professor Richard Henry AM & the late Dr Rachel Oberon Indigenous Advantage Graduate Certificate Scholarship (PGCE1026)

$8,500 per annum towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program

  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing postgraduate coursework studies in a Graduate Certificate within UNSW Centre for Social Impact or the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Selection

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of :
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace and/or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in the areas of specialisation

  • Additional selection criteria for Emeritus Professor Richard Henry AM & Dr Rachel Oberon Indigenous Advantage MBA (Social Impact) Scholarship (PGCE1013)
  • Aptitude and commitment to supporting, developing and contributing to better social outcomes in the business, public and/or social purpose sectors

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted. Activities and achievements recorded more than 3 year ago will not be considered in your application assessment.
