The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage the highest quality candidates in undergraduate Medicine & Science programs to consider undertaking an ILP or Honours Project commencing in Term 1 2024.

You must submit an application to be considered for the following scholarships.
By applying for the UNSW Faculty of Medicine Honours Scholarships you may be considered for the following scholarships depending on the individual scholarship criteria. More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

UNSW Medicine Rehabilitation ILP Award (UGCA1593)
$5,000 for 1 year
|
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree at UNSW at the time of application
- Be entering their fourth year in 2024 and undertaking an Independent Learning Project (ILP) in Rehabilitation at the UNSW Faculty of Medicine.

UNSW Medicine Program Education Award (UGCA1558)
$5,000 for 1 year
|
- Applicants must be entering the fourth year of the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree at UNSW in 2024
- Be eligible to undertake an Independent Learning Project (ILP) or Honours Project in the field of Medical Education
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen

- Aptitude and commitment to the preferred program of study.
- The quality of the ILP or Honours Proposal and potential impact of the research in the field of Medical Education

David Walsh Memorial Scholarship (UGCA1064)
$5,000 for 1 year

- Be enrolled in the BSc(Med) Honours degree at UNSW in 2024 with a thesis topic in the area of developmental birth defects

- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
- Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of developmental birth defects

Mary Edna Quinn Scholarship (UGCA1378)
$5,000 for 1 year

- Be a BMed/MD undergraduate student proposing to undertake an honours year in 2024 as part of their degree
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)

Raymond Onslow Sainty Scholarship (UGCA1225)
$5,000 for 1 year

- Applicants must be commencing an Honours year or Independent Learning Project (ILP) related to diseases of the aging in the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree at UNSW in 2024
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

- Applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree at UNSW at the time of application
- Be undertaking Honours or an Independent Learning Project (ILP) in 2024 in the area of anatomy

You must provide a honours/ILP proposal and evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.
