The purpose of this application is for applicants to be potentially considered for multiple Faculty of Engineering honours scholarships, depending on individual scholarship criteria.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Selection Criteria

Honourable Jack Beale Award in Engineering (UGCA1005)

    $10,000 for 1 year

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen
  • Be currently enrolled full-time undergraduate study (single or double) in one of the following degree programs:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Environmental Engineering
  • Be undertaking an Honours year
  • Academic merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of water resources and the environment within the UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Oliver Correy Award (UGCA1608)

    $7,500 for 1 year

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen
  • Be currently enrolled full-time undergraduate study (single or double) in the following degree program:
    • Civil Engineering
  • Be enrolled in the required thesis courses over the academic year
  • Academic merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of Civil Engineering

Craig John Hastings Smith Surveying Engineering Honours Year Award (UGCA1612)

    $7,000 for 1 year

  • Be Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen
  • Be currently enrolled full-time undergraduate study (single or double degree) in the following degree program:
    • Surveying Engineering (Honours)
  • Be commencing Honours year
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experiences)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of Surveying

Royston Honours Award in Chemical Engineering (UGCA1211)

    $6,000 for 1 year

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen
  • Be currently enrolled full-time undergraduate study (single or double) in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical)
  • Be commencing Honours year
  • Academic merit
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in the form of an Honours research thesis in one of the following areas: Mineral Processing, Fuel Technology or similar as determined by the Head of School

Murray Allen Award in Computer Science & Engineering (UGCA1641)

    $5,000 for 1 year

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders), or a New Zealand Citizen
  • Be currently enrolled full-time undergraduate study (single or double) in the School of Computer Science & Engineering
  • Be commencing Honours year
  • Academic merit
