Outline

UNSW International Student Award has been established to support high-achieving International students from financially disadvantaged countries to study at UNSW.

Scholarship Value and Duration Eligibility
International Student Award (PUCA1030) 15% Tuition Fee Reduction for the Duration of Program
  • Be an International Student, and not a permanent resident of Australia; and
  • Be a citizen of an eligible country; and
  • Be commencing full-time study as a new student on campus^ in a UNSW Global Diploma, UNSW Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program (excluding programs offered by AGSM, UNSW Online, UNSW Canberra); and
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program; and
  • Must not be a current student of UNSW (exceptions made for those who have completed an undergraduate program at UNSW and are commencing a postgraduate program)
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission* into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program; and

Additional Criteria

  • Open to students commencing their studies at UNSW in Term 1, 2022
  • ^Open to students commencing studies online in a program that is usually offered on campus
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred
  • Offers of admission must be one of the following:
    • Diploma, Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
    • Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) - students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing

    Note: Students who have completed a UNSW Global Diploma Program prior to commencing an undergraduate program are not eligible for this Award.

Selection

To apply for the UNSW International Student Award applicants must submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining their reasons to study the proposed program at UNSW. This should be submitted with the UNSW Admissions Application or via myUNSW. Each applicant will be assessed based on their UNSW Admissions Application. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate:

  • Academic Merit
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies
