The General Merit Undergraduate Scholarship is open for recent High School Leavers commencing any undergraduate coursework degree program in 2021, who seek to use their academic, leadership and community engagement experience to make a positive contribution to university life.

By submitting an application you may be considered for:

UNSW All-Rounder Scholarship (UGCE1153)

  • Value: $5,000 per annum
  • Duration: Minimum duration of program
  • Program Requirement: Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (including Medicine)
  • Academic merit
  • Leadership and community engagement experience to make a positive contribution to university life

Jillian Segal Scientia Scholarship (UGCA1619)

  • Value: $12,000 per annum
  • Duration: Minimum duration of program
  • Program Requirement: Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (including Medicine)
  • Achieve an ATAR score of 99.95 in an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (or an equivalent assessable international senior secondary qualification)
  • Residency requirement: Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen

Eligibility
To be considered students must submit a scholarship online application and apply for admission to a UNSW undergraduate degree program for commencement in Term 1, 2021 (via UAC or by any other UNSW admission scheme).
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
  • Academic merit
  • School and community leadership roles
  • Commitment to extra-curricular activities (such as music, sport, debating, leadership programs, community and volunteer work etc)
