Outline

The Sir Rupert Myers Scholarship aims to encourage students to undertake an undergraduate degree in the School of Materials Science and Engineering.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Have completed the Higher School Certificate (or equivalent qualification) in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, or two (2) years prior to commencing study provided no tertiary study was undertaken in this period.
  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) in the one of the following disciplines:
    • BE (Materials Science and Engineering Honours) (3131)
    • BE (Materials Science and Engineering Honours / B Eng Sci (Chemical Engineering (3132)
    • BE (Materials Science and Engineering Honours) / M Biomedical Engineering (3133)
    • BE (Materials Science and Engineering / B Commerce (3134)

Selection

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

  • Academic merit
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)

  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in Materials Sciences and Engineering.

UNSW reserves the right not to award a scholarship, where there is no applicant of sufficient merit, or if the applicant does not meet the scholarship eligibility and/or selection criteria.
