Outline
The aim of the Wavelength International Elective Scholarship is to support UNSW Medicine students during their 6th year 8 week elective placement.

The scholarship will be open to UNSW Medicine students undertaking all or part of their elective placement within an Indigenous community.

Eligibility
  • 5th year Undergraduate Medicine students who will be undertaking their 6th year elective placement the following year
  • Propose to undertake all or part of their elective placement in an Indigenous community. This can include:
    • Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander population greater than 3%
    • Work within an Aboriginal Medical Service, or similar.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

  • Academic merit
  • Aptitude for and commitment to studies in Medicine
  • Interest in undertaking work in Indigenous health, as demonstrated in the application form
  • Interviews
    Applicants will not be required for an interview.
