Outline
The Ngiam Tong Yuen Scholarship was established to assist a high achieving Indigenous student to undertake an undergraduate degree at UNSW in any field that will contribute to the economic and social development of the Indigenous community in Australia.
Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship, candidates must:- An Australian Indigenous student who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, and/or identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and;
- Be intending to enrol in a first year undergraduate degree or who are enrolled in a 1st year degree at UNSW.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Statement demonstrating how the applicant proposes to make an economic and social difference to the Indigenous community in Australia.
