Outline

The Mattick Scholarship in Business was established to encourage students facing disadvantage who are from a single-parent family to undertake an undergraduate degree at the UNSW Business School.



How to Apply

To be considered for this Scholarship, applicants must complete Part 1 and Part 2 of the application process.

Part 1: Apply and submit a UAC Educational Access Scheme application by Thursday 30 November 2017; and

Part 2: Complete the UNSW Scholarships Application form, by Friday 30 November 2018.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
  • Be from a single-parent family
  • Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB, either:
    • in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, or
    • in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period.
  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (in any single or dual degree - excluding Law) in the UNSW Business School.
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on:
  • Demonstrating financial hardship
  • In addition one or more of the following disadvantages may be considered:
    • Disrupted schooling
    • Refugee Status
    • Personal Illness / Disability
    • School Environment
    • Home environment and responsibilities

  • Academic Merit may also be considered
