The Arts & Social Sciences Faculty Scholarships and Awards aim to support students commencing study in the UNSW Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Scence/ Bachelor of Education in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
  • $6,000
  • Minimum Duration of Program
  • 1 x David McDowell Award UGCE1070

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) at the UNSW Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
  • Students must be from a rural or an isolated area of Australia.*
  • $5,000

  • 2 x Norman Hardy Award UGCA1023

  • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) at the UNSW Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

  • Be commencing any UNSW full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree)
  • Enrolment in Japanese Courses in first year with the intention to major throughout the program

  • *Rural Areas Rural areas will generally be considered according to the Australian Standard Geographical Classification - Remoteness Areas.     The ASGC classifications accepted under this program are: RA2 (with the exception of Hobart), RA3, RA4 or RA5. Students whose family home is located in RA2 to RA5, but who have received a scholarship to attend a RA1 (or Hobart) boarding school are also eligible to apply.

    Selection

    These Scholarships and Awards are automatically offered by UNSW based on Australian Year 12 results for students applying for admission via UAC commencing Term 1, 2019.
