Outline
The purpose of the award is to provide support to disadvantaged or low SES students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program offered by UNSW Art & Design.
Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled full-time in a UNSW Undergraduate Art & Design degree in one of the following areas:
    • Fine Arts
    • Media Arts
    • Design
    • Art Theory
  • Must demonstrate at least one educational disadvantage through an application to the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) Equity Scholarships Scheme.
Selection

Candidates will be considered on the basis of their UAC Equity online application.

Each applicant must be experiencing low socio economic circumstances and will be assessed on their eligibility to demonstrate one or more of the following criteria:

  • Financial hardship
  • Carer responsibilities
  • English language difficulty
  • Sole parent responsibilities
  • Indigenous Australian
  • Long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse
  • Refugee status
  • Regional or remote disadvantage

Preference may be given to Indigenous Australians.

Shortlisted applicants are not required to attend an interview.
